A new Neighborhood Market has opened at 17275 NW Cornell Road.
About the Stores
Two Walmart Neighborhood Markets have joined the Beaverton community, with another planned at the former Hagen location on Murray Blvd.
Opportunity. Walmart Neighborhood Markets are small-format stores that often repurpose vacant properties, adding value to their neighborhoods. The first Walmart Neighborhood Market opened in 1998, and today there are approximately 250 stores nationwide.
Fresh Foods and Affordable Brands. Designed as a convenient family shopping center, Walmart Neighborhood Markets offer shoppers access to fresh, locally-sourced grocery items alongside merchandise at everyday low prices. The stores offer quick and convenient shopping for groceries, pharmacy items and general merchandise, and generally range in size from 25,000 square feet to 40,000 square feet.
Redevelopment. Walmart Neighborhood Markets renovate vacant buildings with contemporary design upgrades to the exterior and use energy efficient technologies throughout. Elements such as white roofs, high-efficiency heating and cooling, low-energy grocery case LED lighting and recycled construction products are standard features in a new Neighborhood Market.
