Opportunity. Walmart has announced plans to renovate an existing vacant grocery space located at 17711 Jean Way in Lake Oswego, bringing one of its first Neighborhood Markets to Oregon and approximately 95 new jobs, quick access to groceries, prescriptions, as well as household products.
Fresh Foods and Affordable Brands. Designed as a convenient family shopping center, the Walmart Neighborhood Market will provide another destination for groceries at the Walmart value price. The store will carry a full line of groceries, including fresh produce, frozen foods, meat and dairy products, and organic items. For those on the go, the deli will offer hot rotisserie chicken and freshly prepared foods. Customers can pick up cakes and freshly made bread in the bakery. These added amenities are one way Walmart can continue to help customers save money to live better.
Redevelopment. Walmart plans to renovate the currently vacant building with a contemporary design upgrade to the exterior and by using energy efficient technologies throughout. Elements such as a white roof, high-efficiency heating and cooling, low-energy grocery case LED lighting, and recycled construction products will be incorporated into the Neighborhood Market.
Community investment. Through volunteer work and charitable giving, Walmart associates in Oregon are committed and dedicated members of their communities.
